This painting takes me back in time to the Victorian age where women wore long beautiful dresses and went to lavish parties and danced with handsome men.  I imagine she’s hoping she’ll be asked to dance.  Her heart is racing and she feels a little anxious as she walks into the room.  Maybe I’ve read too many romance novels…
