Vanquish

Vanquish

This figurative painting started out as a failed work and turned into one of my favorites.  I scraped the old painting and began drawing the three large figures.  The small figure was still visible from the old painting and the new image of the 4 figures spoke to me immediately.  So, I recovered the small figure and continued painting.

I also discovered something new.  During the process I went to the art store and bought some oil sticks.  They’re oil paint in stick form and they come in lots of amazing colors!  I LOVE THEM!!  I had so much fun and I can’t wait to use them again.
