Only Hope in Life

On February 28th, the United States of America, my homeland, bombed the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school in Iran, killing at least 100 children. Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump denied responsibility for it. Trump blamed the Iranian government, but the Iranian government doesn’t have Tomahawk missiles. We do.

I saw a photo of a group of Iranian mothers crying, mourning, grief stricken. One held a photo of two little girls in their school uniforms. Later, I read an interview with a mother who lost her daughter in the bombing. Noor, the mother, said,

“There was nothing left of my child. She was completely burned. How can I continue living with this grief? She was my only hope in life. She was all my love, my today and my tomorrow.”

As long as I live, I will never get this image out of my head. The mass grave for those precious little girls.

My heart is broken for those mothers, and I am so angry that this happened. This isn’t about Israel, this isn’t about nuclear threats. This is about a man trying to change the subject, to focus the world on something besides the fact that inside the Epstein files, there are accounts of him brutally raping little girls. It’s about protecting the rich and powerful who did unspeakable things on Epstein’s Island. It really shouldn’t surprise us that more little girls have fallen victim to Donald Trump.

I wonder how long We the People are going to sit and do nothing about these atrocities.

As I write this, Trump is boasting that he is going to annihilate the Iranian civilization. With Trump in office, we have become the monster we once sought to destroy.

I would encourage everyone in the United States to call your representatives, go to their offices, make noise, do something. Demand that Trump be removed from office. Demand the removal of Pete Hegseth. Take some kind of action today.
